Gr\u0175p o wirfoddolwyr yw\u2019r corff llywodraethu, sy\u2019n cynrychioli\u2019r gwahanol grwpiau sydd \u00e2 diddordeb allweddol yn yr ysgol, gan gynnwys rhieni, staff ac aelodau\u2019r gymuned. Maent yn gofalu am les y plant a\u2019r staff ac yn cyfrannu at, ac yn cymryd cyfrifoldeb am, bopeth y mae\u2019r ysgol yn ei wneud. Maent yn rhoi sylw i'r addysgu a'r dysgu sy'n digwydd ac yn gweithredu fel ffrind beirniadol sy'n cefnogi'r ysgol, gan herio a gofyn cwestiynau am sut mae'r ysgol yn gweithio a'r safonau y mae'n eu cyflawni. Maent yn monitro cynnydd a pherfformiad yr ysgol er mwyn codi safonau a chyflawni rhagoriaeth ac yn rhoi arweiniad ar yr holl faterion sy'n ymwneud \u00e2 rhediad llwyddiannus yr ysgol, gan gynnwys penodi'r pennaeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Er mwyn cyflawni eu dyletswyddau, mae'n ddefnyddiol i'r corff llywodraethu ymweld \u00e2'r ysgol. Mae hyn yn cynyddu eu gwybodaeth uniongyrchol ac yn eu rhoi mewn sefyllfa dda i wneud penderfyniadau. Mae ymweliadau fel arfer yn ymwneud yn uniongyrchol \u00e2'r blaenoriaethau a nodir yng nghynllun datblygu'r ysgol. Mae ymweliadau yn galluogi llywodraethwyr i ddatblygu perthynas gyda phlant a staff. Maent hefyd yn darparu cyfleoedd i'r llywodraethwyr brofi amgylchedd yr ysgol a gweld realiti sut mae'r ysgol a'r dosbarthiadau yn gweithio. Yn dilyn pob ymweliad, gofynnir i lywodraethwyr adrodd yn \u00f4l ar eu canfyddiadau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cynhelir cyfarfodydd llawn y corff llywodraethu ddwywaith y tymor, a chynhelir y cyfarfod cyffredinol blynyddol (CCB) yn fuan ar \u00f4l dechrau pob blwyddyn academaidd newydd. Mae'r corff llywodraethol, mewn cydweithrediad \u00e2'r pennaeth, yn cynhyrchu adroddiad blynyddol i rieni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
