The school is incredibly well supported by a group of parents who go above and beyond to raise much needed funds for our pupils. These funds enable us to provide opportunities which pupils might otherwise not get. Fundraising 22-23 included Challenge 23, a Tesco Community Grant, Cake stalls, a Duck Race, the Virgin £5 Challenge and the Summer Fete, amongst many more. The Friends of the School purchased many items including Christmas gifts, the Party Animals Event, the Pantomime visit, new school signage and contributions to the school trip transport.
Upcoming events include our summer bingo and raffle, and our father’s day event and pop-up shop.
People can also help raise funds by using Easy Fundraising, collecting Texaco points and using our Dragon bin. All are welcome to join Friends of the School meetings. They are a lovely opportunity to meet and chat and share ideas. Please contact the school for details of the next meeting or speak to Mrs Vicky Turner, chair of the organisation.
Animal Man Event
We organised for the popular animal man to visit the school during the summer term and a great time was had by all. We all learnt new things about the exotic animals in his care and everyone (pupils and parents) faced and overcame their fears by handling various animals.
